The Open Government Partnership week which was held from 7th May to 11th May, 2018 was an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the OGP Process in Nigeria under the four thematic areas of Fiscal Transparency, Anti-Corruption, Access to Information and Citizens Engagement. Many Nigerians remember Buhari's attendance of an Anti-Corruption Summit at Chatham House, London in ,12th May 2016 but not many know about a very critical development that followed shortly after the Summit. And that's because a lot happens behind the scenes of all items of news we take in through the media. That Summit was dramatically punctuated by former British Prime Minister, David Cameron, describing Nigeria as fantastically corrupt. But behind the scenes, after the Summit, Nigeria joined the Open Government Partnership (OGP), a coaltion of about 70 countries dedicated to knocking out the wild beast called corruption, a deadly predator that is destroying Nigeria by feeding on the greed and irresponsibility of those entrusted with judicious management of public money.
